The Los Angeles Rams could be in line for plenty of primetime appearances this season.

The Los Angeles Rams enter the 2026 season as one of the best teams in the league.

The Rams check a ton of boxes when it comes to being a true Super Bowl contender, an elite quarterback, an elite head coach, an elite offense, and a stellar defense. Los Angeles is poised to make another deep playoff run and, this time, become the last team standing.

However, before getting there, the Rams will have to go through the 13th toughest schedule in the league based on the win totals of opponents from 2025.

The Rams could be slated to be on primetime multiple times, starting in Week 1, when they kick off the season against the San Francisco 49ers in Australia, streaming on Netflix. Outside of that, the team could have five or six more primetime games as they have a ton of intriguing matchups.

1. Seattle Seahawks (twice)

The Rams and Seahawks are shaping up to have the best rivalry in football heading into the 2026 season. Their two regular season matchups in 2025 were arguably among the best games of the season, and there's reason to believe that trend will continue this year.

Last season, only one of their matchups landed in primetime – their Week 16 showdown. However, with how evenly matched these two teams are, it wouldn’t be surprising to see both games this season feature in nationally televised primetime slots.

2. Denver Broncos

The Rams and Broncos were among the top teams in the league last season, and that could very well be the case in 2026. While Denver has a younger quarterback, Bo Nix is dynamic and a huge attention getter, as is Matthew Stafford. Pairing both against one another in prime time makes perfect sense.

Los Angeles and Denver both have championship aspirations this season after both fell short in their respective conference title games. With a new season upon them, both will look to get over the hump in what could be a preview of Super Bowl 61.

3. Buffalo Bills

This matchup will feature the last two quarterbacks to win the NFL MVP: Matthew Stafford and Josh Allen. The two gun slingers are among the best signal-callers in the game, and this matchup would draw plenty of eyes.

The Bills are among the top teams in the league and are among the favorites to win the AFC and Super Bowl.

4. Green Bay Packers

The Packers are one of the most storied franchises in all of football and among the top teams in the NFC. The Rams and Packers will likely be jockeying for playoff seeding all season long and have had some epic duels in the past.

Given the repercussions this game could have on either team, it would be a shock if this game were not a primetime matchup.

UPDATE: The Rams are set to face the Packers in a confirmed primetime matchup for Thanksgiving Eve, live on Netflix.

5. Los Angeles Chargers

The Battle of Los Angeles. The Rams and Chargers will head into their seventh season sharing Sofi Stadium: the place they both call home. The Rams have some more hardware to show for; however, the Chargers will look to get over their dreadful hump this season, led by Justin Herbert and Jim Harbaugh.

These two teams hardly play, but it’s always fun to see teams from the same city, who play in the same building, duke it out. It would also be no shock at all if the Rams come out with a total of seven primetime games, as opposed to the five predicted here.
