Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson is expected to be suspended for multiple games after throwing a punch on Monday night.
UPDATE:
Alaric Jackson has officially been suspended by the NFL.
Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson is in trouble yet again.
Following the conclusion of the "Monday Night Football" game, Jackson was seen exchanging words with Buffalo Bills defender Bradley Chubb. Moments later, he threw a punch and struck Chubb in the face.
Chubb had to be held back by his Bills teammates, while the pair were generally separated.
Now, NFL insider Adam Schefter has reported that Jackson could be facing a two-game suspension for the violent act on Chubb.
The Rams and the NFLPA have also not been notified of this suspension. Schefter is merely reporting what he knows, and nothing has been confirmed.
While two games may seem like a lot, this is not the first time that Jackson has gotten in trouble with the league. His offseason arrest might also lead to some stiffer punishment.
In 2024, Jackson was suspended for two games for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. He was involved in an incident with a woman in which he allegedly recorded her without her consent.
During the 2026 offseason, Jackson was also arrested in relation to an alleged domestic violence situation. It was later revealed that the Rams lineman would not face felony charges, and he was not suspended to begin the season.
With this being his third issue in relation to the NFL's personal conduct policy, the NFL may come down on Jackson.
The sources Schefter spoke to indicated that Jackson would be hit with a two-game suspension, but he will also be given the chance to appeal that suspension if and when it happens. Whether or not the NFL chooses to uphold the full suspension will come when the appeal is filed.
Once the suspension is made public and confirmed by the NFL, Jackson would potentially miss the next two games. Those games will be against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6 and the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7.
Los Angeles currently sits at 2-3 after dropping their third loss to the Bills on Monday. Being without Jackson will be a tough hit to the offense and the line.
David Quessenberry would likely step in to serve as the left tackle with Jackson being out for one or two games due to this potential suspension.
Considering the trouble he has gotten in through the years, the Rams might also consider more steep punishment for the linemen. However, nothing has been set in stone just yet.
