Los Angeles Rams tight end Colby Parkinson is officially out against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Los Angeles Rams are set to play against the Philadelphia Eagles, and the team has released its official inactives list. While there are some names that were already established, tight end Colby Parkinson is now out.
Parkinson has been dealing with knee and shoulder injuries, and he did not practice all week as a result of the injuries. After being labeled as questionable for the Eagles matchup, he is officially out.
The full inactives list is as follows:
DE Aaron Donald
TE Colby Parkinson
CB Jaylen Watson
CB Cam Lampkin
WR C.J. Daniels Jr.
OL Bill Murray
QB Ty Simpson (emergency 3rd QB)
Rams head coach Sean McVay had already established that defensive end Aaron Donald would be out due to a back injury. He had reported soreness on Wednesday, and it was too much for the defensive end to take the field.
Cornerback Jaylen Watson is still recovering from a dislocated shoulder that he suffered in Week 3. Despite the injury not being seen as long-term, he will miss Week 4.
Cornerback Camp Lampkin was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster, but he is now inactive.
The Rams are clearly seeing what Emmanuel Forbes Jr. and Josh Wallace can do. Wallace has been emerging as a playmaker, and his controversial pass interference call wiped away what most felt was a clear-cut interception.
Also out for the Rams are wide receiver C.J. Daniels, offensive lineman Bill Murray, and quarterback Ty Simpson.
Los Angeles has already placed tight end Terrance Ferguson on IR due to an ankle injury, and now Parkinson is also out for Week 4. This leaves Tyler Higbee, Davis Allen, and rookie Max Klare as the healthy options on the team.
The Rams may not be able to run 13 personnel in the same manner they are used to, which could put a damper on their offensive plans. That said, the team is getting back wide receiver Puka Nacua.
Nacua has been out since Week 1, as he suffered a psoas injury that turned into a hip ailment. Instead of taking the field, McVay has been very careful with the young pass catcher.
Nacua will now join Davante Adams, who has been playing very well. Additionally, Konata Mumpfield nearly put up 100 receiving yards in Week 3 and could finally be the missing WR3 that the Rams have needed.
The Rams need to find a way to get past their inconsistencies, so they do not drop to 1-3 on the season.
