The Los Angeles Rams could be facing an uphill battle due to injuries this week against the Chargers.

The Los Angeles Rams have had a rough all-around start to the 2026 NFL season.

After the offseason trade to acquire superstar pass rusher Myles Garrett and the move to bring Aaron Donald out of retirement, many were picking the Rams to win it all. Through seven games, the team is just 3-4 and injuries have completely derailed the start of the year.

Garrett has not played since Week 1. Davante Adams recently went down with a severe hamstring injury and is going to miss a decent amount of time. Puka Nacua is even dealing with a calf injury, although he is trying to play through it.

With that being said, more concerning injury news was shared for Los Angeles before this week's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Adam Grosbard of the LA Dailey News shared some rough updates for the Rams. Coleman Shelton, Colby Parkinson, and Trent McDuffie are all questionable to play this week. Joe Cardona is also doubtful to play.

Missing McDuffie and Parkinson would be a tough blow. However, the loss of Shelton could be the biggest blow of them all.

Matthew Stafford has struggled a bit to begin the season. Playing without Shelton would force the Los Angeles offense to play without the anchor of its offensive line.

Needless to say, every game at this point is big for the Rams. A 3-4 record isn't too bad by itself, but too many more losses would make recovering late in the year more difficult. Sean McVay and his team simply need to scrape together some wins to stay afloat until players start returning from injury.

At this point in time, no one knows exactly when Garrett will return. There was hope that the Rams could open up his practice window this week, but that didn't end up being the case. The current hope is that Adams could return in the shorter window of the original 6-to-8 week estimate.

Going up against the Chargers should give L.A. a good chance to pick up another win. Jim Harbaugh and his team are 0-6 and not many positive signs of improvement have been seen.

Hopefully, some of these updates receive good news before Sunday afternoon's game.

Kickoff this week against the Chargers is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET. Fans will be able to tune in and watch the game on Fox.
