The Los Angeles Rams' inactives include two receivers.
The Los Angeles Rams are set to face off against the San Francisco 49ers, and the inactives list has been dropped.
Oddly enough, the Rams have ruled out two wide receivers, along with multiple others. Per the team's official social media, wide receivers Tutu Atwell and CJ Daniels are inactive.
Additionally, quarterback Ty Simpson, offensive lineman Bill Murray, and tight end Max Klare are also out.
What makes the Atwell and Daniels news a bit odd is that the Rams are still attempting to see who the WR3 for the team could be. Granted, there is no need for seven receivers, but the rookie pass catcher appeared to be in the mix to play.
Atwell also just returned after the Miami Dolphins sent the receiver back to Los Angeles for running back Jarquez Hunter. The longtime veteran Rams receiver may simply need more time to get back acclimated to the offense.
Either way, the Rams now have all they need to face the 49ers.
The NFL is playing this game for the first time in Australia, and it is an important matchup for both teams.
The Rams have the chance to start the 2026 season off with a big win against their divisional rival. Winning decisively can set the tone for the entire season, but can also give Los Angeles a big leg up in the NFC West.
Granted, going 1-0 is not a guarantee that the Rams will be headed for the playoffs, but every win against a divisional rival matters a great deal. If the 2026 season is anything like the 2025 season, it will be Los Angeles, the 49ers, and the Seattle Seahawks battling it out for the NFC West down the stretch.
The Seahawks pulled off an improbable win against the New England Patriots on Wednesday and are now 1-0. It will be up to the Rams to play some solid football to follow suit and start their own season undefeated.
With playmakers on both sides of the ball, the Rams are expected to be a strong playoff contender. They are also a big Super Bowl favorite, but a lot has to go right for that to happen.
First and foremost, the roster has to remain healthy. Secondly, head coach Sean McVay and the rest of the coaching staff need to put the players in the right position to succeed.
The 2026 season is here, and its time to see what this Rams roster can truly do.
