Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford continues to fall in the latest quarterback rankings.

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford took it upon himself to state that he needs to take on the responsibility to be better amid the team's mounting injuries.

The issue is that Stafford has not played up to the standard he was in 2025. There have been accuracy issues, off-time throws, and interceptions plenty. Due to that, the Rams' signal caller continues to fall in the latest rankings.

Stafford had some very early-season struggles, throwing six interceptions in the first four weeks of the season. He figured that aspect out and has not thrown one in the last two games.

Despite not throwing an interception, the Rams have still struggled overall, and they currently hold a 2-4 record.

If Stafford can somehow find a way to band the team together and get some wins, Los Angeles may still have a remote chance to challenge for the NFC West crown. That might also be difficult to do with only a couple more losses.

The issue is that Stafford may finally be showing his age. That is the way that NFL.com's Nick Shook states in his quarterback ranking.

Stafford has fallen four spots ahead of Week 7, dropping from 10 down to No. 14.

"It pains me to admit this, but amid chaos (which is becoming more frequent lately), Stafford’s age is starting to show, especially in his mobility (and some occasional stumbles). He’s certainly still capable of dropping absolute dimes on his intended targets, but the total picture hasn’t been nearly as sharp or consistent as it was last season," Shook said.

Stafford has shown some more promising play in Weeks 5 and 6, but that has not translated to wins.

The blame is not Stafford's alone, as the team has been struggling in all three phases. However, the quarterback himself has now taken it on to ensure that he plays better, with the team losing multiple players.

Wide receiver Davante Adams, defensive tackle Poona Ford, defensive lineman Kobie Turner, and kicker Blake Grupe are all out for multiple weeks or the season.

Tight end Terrance Ferguson remains out with an ankle injury, and there is a chance that cornerback Trent McDuffie will be out for a second straight game.

With key players and starters out on both sides of the ball, Stafford will now need to ensure the team has the right kind of confidence that will lead to a win.

Los Angeles' schedule is also stacked with tough opponents, as they face the Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers, Washington Commanders, and Arizona Cardinals next.

The Chargers have had their own issues and remain winless, but the rest of the opponents could be playoff contenders down the line.

The Rams are attempting to be one of those teams, but they need to put together more than one decisive win for that to be more of a reality.
