Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford sent an important message to the team following their mounting injuries.

The Los Angeles Rams were hit hard with injuries after their Week 6 loss. Wide receiver Davante Adams, defensive lineman Kobie Turner, defensive tackle Poona Ford, and kicker Blake Grupe are out for most of the regular season or out for the season.

This has led to quarterback Matthew Stafford speaking about the importance of stepping up to help lead the Rams out of this rough week.

Stafford and the Los Angeles offense have had their own struggles, and the team sits at 2-4 thus far. There is plenty of football left to play, but it will take a lot to shake off their issues and bounce back with a win, especially given their multitude of injuries to key players.

Stafford spoke to the media on Tuesday to speak about the losses of those key players, while also sending a strong message about stepping up.

"I think I just feel even more responsibility to try to be as good as I can be to help us continue to win," Stafford said. "In some of those guys' instances where they're going to have opportunities to hopefully come back and play for us, make sure that when they come back and play for us, it's meaningful stuff for them."

Stafford let it be known that people need to realize those injuries hold far more impact than what it means for a fantasy team. Some of those players may have their careers heavily impacted by the injuries.

Adams is a longtime veteran who has talked about retiring over the past few seasons. Considering he had a hamstring injury that sidelined him for multiple weeks in 2025, and now he has a ruptured hamstring, that could affect his ability to return in 2026.

Adams might also consider walking away from the game completely given his recent injury issues. This is just speculation, but veteran players who become injury-prone often step away.

The Rams will need to find a way to bounce back from the injuries to ensure they can compete for the NFC West and a playoff spot in general.

Starting 2-4 does not mean that Los Angeles is out of the running of anything, but they will need to start winning some games.

Stafford has struggled plenty, as he was inaccurate and off at the start of the season. He has six interceptions in six games thus far.

The Rams also have a tough schedule that will not do them any favors. Their next four opponents are the Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers, Washington Commanders, and Arizona Cardinals.

Despite the winless Chargers, the rest of those opponents could very well be playoff contenders at the end of the season.

The Cardinals also just beat the Rams in Week 6, and could have Sean McVay and company figured out.

Los Angeles has a lot of work to do if they are to rebound this season, espcially after suffering such major injuries.
