Los Angeles Rams defensive end Myles Garrett has his eyes set on even more NFL history following his record-breaking 2025 campaign.

Los Angeles Rams edge rusher Myles Garrett is no doubt one of the best players in the entire NFL and could be in a position to build on that resume as he heads into the 2026 season.

On that subject, Garrett appeared on 'Inside Rams Camp' on Thursday and revealed he is chasing some big history in 2026.

“Break my own record. I mean, there's a couple records on the way. You know, if I get 20, I have the most by year 10 of anyone, and that would be passing Reggie. And you know, I want to, you know, be up there and be his peer and surpass him, but I also want to, you know, break my own records in which I've created and go out there and get 24, 25,” Garrett said.

As Garrett said, his goal is to break his own record of 23 sacks, which he set just last year with the Cleveland Browns.

Throughout the 2025 season, it was clear that Garrett was on a mission to break the single-sack record, which he accomplished. Now, the Rams defender is not banking on slowing down and instead wants to reach even greater heights.

Garrett also talked about the idea of wanting to have the most sacks through 10 years of a career by anyone, meaning that he would pass legend Reggie White on the way to that milestone.

As one of the most dominant defensive players in the NFL, Garrett does have lofty goals, but his physical traits and consistency give him a great chance to accomplish these goals.

Additionally, Garrett also talked about the fact that he believes the Rams could have one of the greatest defensive units of all time, and to do so, he may need another performance as he had in 2025.

While Garrett is a great player, he knows he cannot do it alone, and the good news for him is that this Rams roster has plenty of talent to help him.

On the defensive line, Los Angeles has several dominant forces in the form of defensive linemen Kobie Turner, Braden Fiske, and Poona Ford, along with linebacker Byron Young.

The linebacker room also has solid players, as it is headlined by Nate Landman, and the secondary has a stacked cast of Trent McDuffie, Jaylen Watson, Kam Kurl, Kam Kinchens, and Quentin Lake.

With Garrett's statements on his personal goals and his belief in the talent of this defense, it seems that his confidence in this group is very high, meaning that it appears he is getting closer and building great chemistry with this defensive unit.

Heading into the 2026 season, if Garrett can be productive himself and lead a dominant Rams defense, this could be an amazing opportunity to experience high-level team success and potentially could give him the chance to raise the Lombardi Trophy for the first time in his career.
