Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay admitted that the team is dealing with a rhythm problem.

Despite the fact that the Los Angeles Rams came away with a win on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, it took every ounce of strength for the team to bounce back and score 14 points in the fourth quarter.

Both sides of the ball seem to be off, and Rams head coach Sean McVay acknowledged that fact. During "The Sean McVay Show" the coach admitted that the team is dealing with a rhythm problem.

The issues the Rams have faced may be attributed to the injuries sustained early in this season. Defensive ends Myles Garrett and Aaron Donald, wide receiver Puka Nacua, tight ends Terrance Ferguson and Colby Parkinson, and cornerback Jaylen Watson have missed one or multiple games so far.

The issues might also be due to the Rams simply not hitting the right kind of stride or rhythm. It is not as if the team is struggling greatly. They have a 2-2 record, as opposed to having something worse.

Even with a .500 record, Los Angeles is already facing an uphill battle in the NFC West and the NFC in general.

The San Francisco 49ers are 4-0, the Seattle Seahaws are 3-1, the Chicago Bears are 3-1, and the Minnesota Vikings are 4-0 as well.

There are plenty of challenges in the NFC showing up in 2026, which could pose a major problem if the Rams cannot start figuring out their issues.

This lack of a solid rhythm may be the first step.

"I'm not going to make any sort of excuses. It's been unique. You know, I'm such a rhythm guy, and it's been really hard to fall into any sort of rhythm. You know, and that goes for a lot of different things. That goes for the different times we've played, the, you know, the situations where we're playing and the amount of guys we've had in and out of the lineup," McVay said.

The Rams first instance of being of sync was shown in Australia. After the choice to leave for the country the day before the matchup, McVay admitted that it was a mismanagement on his part.

Los Angeles looked sloppy on all levels, which led to a commanding defeat. The 49ers coasted to a 27-7 victory.

Week 2 was different, as the Rams fired on all cylinders. They defeated the New York Giants 28-6, but then fell into another rhythm issue in Week 3.

The Denver Broncos may have gotten away with a dodgy pass interference call, but the Rams lost 30-26.

A major indicator that the team is off has to do with quarterback Matthew Stafford. The reigning MVP has thrown six touchdowns, along with six interceptions.

Stafford threw eight interceptions all season in 2025. He has nearly hit that mark in just four games.

The back-and-forth wins and lead changes are exactly what McVay is talking about. It may take the team a bit longer to put it all together, but they are also running out of time.

As stated, the NFC is full of strong competition, and the Rams had better not get left behind by losing games they should be winning.
