Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay revealed some major updates on Jaylen Watson, Terrance Ferguson, and Colby Parkinson.

The Los Angeles Rams not only lost to the Denver Broncos, but the team was also hit with some significant injuries in the game.

Cornerback Jaylen Watson and tight ends Colby Parkinson and Terrance Ferguson all suffered injuries that pulled them out of the game. Now, Rams head coach Sean McVay revealed some big updates on all three.

Watson looked to be one of the most significant, as he fell to the turf on a defensive play and looked to be in immediate pain. He had to be assisted by the training staff, as they kept his arm as stable as possible while taking him off the field.

When speaking to the media on Monday, McVay revealed that Watson suffered a dislocated shoulder, which is something that has happened before. The cornerback will also "probably" miss this week, but he will not be placed on IR (injured reserve).

Parkinson exited the game with what was a leg injury, and Terrance Ferguson also appeared to re-injure an ankle injury that he was dealing with.

McVay also confirmed that Parkinson suffered an AC sprain, while Ferguson has a medial ankle sprain.

Per Rams reporter Stu Jackson, McVay stated that Parkinson's status is "to be determined" while Ferguson is expected to miss at least this week.

Los Angeles will now be without a starting cornerback, tight end, and a solid backup in Parkinson.

The injuries led to the Rams not being able to run 13 personnel in the manner they usually do, but veteran Tyler Higbee stepped into a bigger role to help aid the passing game. Higbee ended his night with 62 yards and one touchdown on eight receptions.

Higbee and Davis Allen will be the main tight ends in the room now that Parkinson and Ferguson will be out this week.

McVay did not reveal how long Parkinson will be out, but his "to be determined" status may point to a longer-term situation.

The Rams are now 1-2 and are facing a tough schedule ahead. They face the Philadelphia Eagles next, followed by the Buffalo Bills, Arizona Cardinals, and the Las Vegas Raiders.

McVay may choose to bring in more tight end or corner help in the interim, and that may need to be a top priority for the secondary.

With Watson out, the Rams looked to Emmanuel Forbes Jr. to step in. The Broncos clearly understood what transpired, and they were able to rifle off 16 unanswered points in the third quarter that helped to jump-start their comeback win.

The Rams may need more depth, but they might also choose to move forward with their current roster. The silver lining is there is plenty of depth in the tight end room, though corner may be a bit of a struggle.
