The Los Angeles Rams may be without another player, as tight end Terrance Ferguson is a ways from still returning.

The Los Angeles Rams roster took some major hits via devastating injuries over the weekend.

Wide receiver Davante Adams is out for six to 10 weeks with a ruptured hamstring, defensive lineman Kobie Turner is out for four to six weeks due to a groin injury, defensive tackle Poona Ford is out for the season with a ruptured triceps, and kicker Blake Grupe is out due to a torn ACL.

To make matters worse, defensive end Myles Garrett has not been activated off IR, and now tight end Terrance Ferguson is in the same situation.

Ferguson was eligible to return from IR this week after suffering an ankle injury in Week 2. However, his return will "take some time," per NFL insider Adam Schefter.

The report has not been corroborated by Rams head coach Sean McVay, and it doesn't quite state just how long Ferguson will be out. However, "take some time" does not sound like the young tight end will be back anytime soon.

Los Angeles has already been struggling through six games, as they have now fallen to 2-4. Granted, there is plenty of football left to play, but the team has to find ways to start winning some games.

With just a few more losses, the Rams would be sitting at a projected 10-7 record to finish the season. That may get them into playoff contention, but that is no guarantee.

The idea of taking the NFC West crown might already be lost, as the ailing San Francisco 49ers are 6-0 with no signs of slowing down. They could very well start to lose, but the Seattle Seahawks are also sitting at 3-3.

The Rams are a resilient team and have been before. During the 2024 season, when most of the starters on the offensive line went out, the team started 1-4.

They still found a way to build a win streak, get to the playoffs, and nearly pulled off a win to move to the NFC Championship. Adversity happens to every team, and the Rams have got to find a way to move past that to notch some wins.

Despite the loss of several important players, there are several others who are still healthy and ready to go. Plus, Matthew Stafford has started to iron out some of his accuracy issues as well.

Los Angeles has the Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers, Washington Commanders, and Arizona Cardinals next. Several of these games are very winnable, but it depends on how McVay challenges this team to band together.
