Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson has reportedly had his two-game suspension reduced.

Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson was hit with a two-game suspension following an incident after the "Monday Night Football" game, which saw him punch Buffalo Bills defender Bradley Chubb in the face.

The incident was caught on camera, leading to an investigation and subsequent suspension for Jackson. Now, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that the suspension has been reduced to one game.

The Rams have not announced this formally, nor has the NFL. The information comes from Michael Signora, who is the NFL Senior Vice President of Football & International Communications.

Jackson has been in trouble before, as he was given a two-game suspension back in 2024 after violating the NFL's conduct policy. The Rams lineman was also arrested this offseason after being involved in an alleged domestic violence incident.

The NFL did not suspend Jackson and he was not added to the commissioner's exempt list, pointing to him not set to face punishment from the NFL.

There was a belief that the past troubles would lead to Jackson potentially not winning his appeal for the incident that took place on Monday, but that is not the case.

Jackson will now be out for Week 6 against the Arizona Cardinals. He will be eligible to return for Week 7 when Los Angeles is set to face the Las Vegas Raiders.

Rams head coach Sean McVay confirmed during media availability that backup tackle David Quessenberry would be taking over for Jackson if his suspension was upheld. Quessenberry will now only need to step in for one game.

McVay also confirmed that rookie lineman Keagen Trost will also return to practice this week after being placed on IR.

The Rams will now have some solid backup with Trost back and healthy. Should anything else happen on the line, it would be Quessenberry and Trost who would step in to start.

Los Angeles currently sits at 2-3 this season, and they will now be up against a divisional rival, the Cardinals. Despite Arizona having its own struggles, this will be an important matchup for the Rams.

The Rams are losing ground in the NFC, and a few more losses might mean they will not be able to secure the No. 1 spot at the end of the season. There is still plenty of football left to play, but the team has experienced some big inconsistencies thus far this season.

Those inconsistencies led to kicker Harrison Mevis being released after missing a kick that could have won the Rams the game on Monday.
