There is a chance that the Los Angeles Rams could rely heavily on their rookie offensive lineman Keagen Trost this upcoming season.

The Los Angeles Rams boast one of the more elite offenses in the league as they slowly approach the 2026 season.

One could argue that they are undoubtedly the best, considering what they did in 2025. The Rams have a strong and formidable team overall, but their offense may be the best part of the team despite their defensive upgrades.

Still, while that is the case, their weakest part of that side of the ball may be the offensive line (and that says a lot).

On paper, the Rams' offensive line is a more than solid, above-average unit; however, there are some question marks for that unit, especially heading into the season and certainly after the 2026 campaign.

The Rams face uncertainty heading into 2026 in that department due to the Alaric Jackson arrest and allegations of domestic violence. This legal challenge could spell trouble for him and the offensive line as a whole.

The options outside of Jackson seem dim. If Jackson has to miss some time because of the legal trouble he would be in, the Rams may have no other choice but to lean on veteran David Quessenberry or rookie Keagen Trost.

If the Rams are without Jackson, they may lean more on Quessenberry to start. The 35-year-old is set to enter his ninth season in the league and was a part of the team last season.

He appeared in 13 games last season, serving in a limited role on offense while making a larger impact on special teams. Quessenberry logged just 18 offensive snaps but was a regular contributor in the kicking game, where he played 72 special teams snaps.

While Quessenberry may be the pick by default, Rams rookie lineman Keagen Trost could become one of the most important pieces for the team, especially if he is called upon early.

For starters, Trost could be key because of his versatility. He has shown the ability to play throughout the line in college, and it could translate to the NFL.

Trost is an older prospect as well, so he is unlike other rookies. He has seven college seasons under his belt, accumulating more than 2,000 snaps at right tackle, a ton of snaps at left tackle, and some experience at the guard position.

Life in the NFL is different, but Trost enters the league as about as experienced a rookie as a team could ask for.

Coupled with his versatility along the offensive line, the 25-year-old appears to be a strong fit for what the Rams are looking to accomplish both in the short term and as part of their long-term plans.

With or without Jackson, Trost could play an important role for Los Angeles this season and figures to be a key piece of the organization's plans for years to come.
