Washington Commanders defensive end Charles Omenihu took a major shot at Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson.
When discussing the differences between Buffalo Bills star quarterback Josh Allen and Jackson, Omenihu said that defenses have figured out the two-time MVP compared to Allen.
Omenihu shared his thoughts on the two star quarterbacks in his recent appearance on the Speakeasy podcast.
"This is the thing about Josh Allen. I don't think the league has truly figured him out," Omenihu said. "With Lamar, honestly, you bring a five-man rush on him and collapse that pocket, he's drifting backwards and, unfortunately, he might make a play that isn't going to be the best play for the Ravens.
"Like I said, I think [people] have figured out Lamar. You come after him, you close all the lanes, you five-man rush him and you cover his guys, and I think you get it done. It's been shown."
Jackson has established himself as one of the best players in the league, and at worst, a top-three quarterback. The 29-year-old is one of the more accomplished players in the sport, as he's been named a four-time Pro Bowler and a three-time first-team All-Pro.
Despite that, former Louisville Cardinal has been heavily scrutinized due to his playoff shortcomings. Jackson has only played in one conference championship game and has yet to play in the Super Bowl.
Although Allen has yet to play in the Super Bowl as well, Omenihu still says he would take the Buffalo quarterback. Omenihu went on to say that if Allen were a Raven, he'd win a Super Bowl before Jackson.
"And this is why, I think Josh's will to win, no matter if it's pretty, ugly, rain -- now, he does turn over the ball over a little bit," Omenihu said.
Jackson and Allen are similar in that both are dynamic players, dual-threat signal callers, and have a knack for making big plays, especially in crucial situations.
While they both are elite runners with the football, they show it off in different ways. Jackson is elusive, relying on his speed, agility, and vision. As for Allen, he's a power runner, relying on his massive build, standing at 6-foot-5 and 240 pounds.
When it comes to their arm strength, Allen has a strong arm and is more aggressive down the field. Jackson is more efficent an controlled when it comes to throwing the football down the field.
What separates Jackson from Allen is his uniqueness and his talent from a quarterback sense that is almost unseen, even compared to a guy like Michael Vick. Both are talented, but it is the Florida native who takes the cake regarding his efficiency, unmatched running ability and the accolades.
