Takeaways From Practice Squad Additions
The only player that was sent to the waiver wire and claimed is center/guard Corey Bullock. He joins the Carolina Panthers and may have been a practice squad addition for the Ravens had he not been claimed.
After a solid preseason, including a breakout third game, Moore is back in the building. He was also a vested veteran and was not subject to the waiver wire, hence his return to the practice squad.
Moore could also have a strong shot at being placed on the active roster, should Rashod Bateman face a suspension for his recent arrest.
Moore secured 54 yards and one touchdown on three receptions during the game, setting the tone for his return, and the potential to move into a more substantial role in the offense.
Interestingly, the Ravens have also brought in Moody. Following an inconsistent preseason from Tyler Loop, the team needed to find some kicking competition.
Moody will be that competition and push Loop to get better, or potentially outright replace him.
Ward also put together an impressive preseason and can be some strong depth behind Derrick Henry, Justice Hill, and Rasheen Ali. Adam Randall has been placed on IR and will be out for at least four games.
Benny was also a standout in preseason, which was surprising given that he was not claimed by other teams. If he can continue to grow within the Baltimore defense, he could see some rotational opportunities in the near future.
Isaac has dealt with multiple injuries, but he could be looking towards a much healthier future with the Ravens. If he can change his availability the right way, he could become a strong pass rusher for the team.
