A look at the biggest takeaways from the Baltimore Ravens' initial 53-man roster.
The Baltimore Ravens have revealed their initial 53-man roster, and there is a lot to unpack. Despite the 6 pm EST cutoff, the Ravens were one of the teams that took quite a while to finalize their players.
That said, here are the biggest takeaways from the roster.
UDFA Make Ravens Roster
Some of the biggest success stories are when undrafted free agents make rosters, and that is the case for quarterback Joe Fagnano and linebacker Ethan Burke.
Both Fagnano and Burke had fantastic preseasons, which led to them making the initial 53-man roster.
For Fagnano, he took most of the snaps in preseason, with Tyler Huntley being the starter. During three games, the UDFA passer secured 506 yards, three touchdowns, one rushing touchdown, and one interception.
Fagnano also lead the league in preseason passing yards.
Burke showed a high level of physicality, often making plays on the ball and flying all over the field. He secured six tackles, two forced fumbles, two passes defended, two quarterback hits, and one sack.
Now, Burke is on the 53-man roster and has a shot to continue making noise ont he Ravens roster.
Nnamdi Madubuike and Teddye Buchanan Not on IR
One of the most interesting aspects of the initial 53-man roster is that both defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike and linebacker Teddye Buchanan were not placed on IR to start the season. This decision would have knocked both out for the first four games of the season.
Despite both seemingly not being fully ready at the end of training camp, not being added to the IR means that both should be ready to play by Week 1, or very close to that.
Madubuike is coming off neck surgery and was making strides in his recovery through training camp. One of the final days saw him finally hitting the sled.
Buchanan tore his ACL in 2025 and has also steadily been working his way back to action. He has not practiced, which makes this decision a bit odd in nature, but he will seemingly be ready to go early on in the regular season.
Corey Bullock Cut
Offensive lineman Corey Bullock was among the cuts, which was surprising. He was the direct backup for Tyler Linderbaum in 2025, and was a presumed potential for the vacant starting center position.
Even with Jovaughn Gwyn or Ethan Pocic now taking up the mantle, Bullock would have been some solid depth. The Ravens also played him at guard during preseason, but he did not make the cut.
Bullock could be a practice squad option in the coming days.
Wide Receiver Chris Moore Cut
The Ravens may or may not need more firepower in the wide receiver room, but Chris Moore being cut was a bit shocking.
Moore broke out in the third and final preseason game, securing 54 yards and one touchdown on three receptions. Despite the strong showing, he was waived.
Moore could also be a practice squad option, assuming the veteran wants to return to Baltimore.
