The Baltimore Ravens' first injury report points to hope for four key players ahead of the Week 1 showdown.

The Baltimore Ravens are heading into their Week 1 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts with a relatively short injury report. Granted, more players may be added between now and when the final report drops on Friday, but there are only four players on the current list.

Wide receivers Zay Flowers and Devontez Walker, along with defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike and linebacker Teddye Buchanan, are the four names on the initial injury report, and all four were limited.

Considering limited is a far cry from doubtful, this could mean that all four will be ready to play in Week 1.

Flowers appeared on the injury report with a hamstring ailment, but he has since returned to practice and stated he is "100 percent" ready to play.

Additionally, Walker's injury has now been revealed to be a groin. Ravens head coach Jesse Minter indicated the receiver was dealing with something "minor," and the hope was to get him back fully by the end of the week.

Minter also said that Walker playing in Week 1 "could go either way."

Moving to the defensive side of things, Madubuike is still recovering from his offseason neck surgery, but his recovery has been a bit miraculous.

The defensive tackle was removed from the PUP list early in training camp and had been engaged in individual drills for weeks. Following the near end of camp, Madubuike returned to team activities, and Minter said emphatically that he would "not rule out" the defender from playing in Week 1.

Considering the initial injury report, that appears to be true.

The same can be said of Buchanan, who is coming off a torn ACL at the end of the 2025 season. Minter lumped the second-year linebacker in with Madubuike in terms of not wanting to say he would miss the first game against the Colts.

All four Ravens players are limited, but their status could certainly change as the week moves on. There are two more injury reports to get through, and if any one of them is hit with a "doubtful" status, it may be a clear indication that they will not suit up this Sunday.

On the flip side, being limited could lead to being moved up to full, which would be huge news for the Baltimore roster heading into this very important Week 1 game.

Getting Madubuike and Buchanan back would be very huge for the defense, as Minter and defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver would have plenty to work with on the pass rush side of things.

Conversely, having Flowers and Walker fully healthy gives offensive coordinator Declan Doyle more to work with as well.

Once the final injury report is released on Friday, the status of all four playing in Week 1 will be far clearer.
