The Baltimore Ravens injury report reveals the status of Nnamdi Madubuike and Teddye Buchanan for Week 2.
Baltimore Ravens head coach Jesse Minter spoke to the media on Friday to reveal that cornerback T.J. Tampa would be ruled out for Week 2. Regarding multiple other key players like defensive tackle Nnmadi Madubuike, linebacker Teddye Buchanan, and wide receiver Zay Flowers, Minter said they would discuss and determine their statuses.
Now, the third and final injury report has now revealed the fate of all three, plus some more concerns.
The full final injury report is as follows:
Teddy Buchanan, LB — Knee — Out
Calais Campbell, DL — NIR - Rest
Zay Flowers, WR — Hamstring — Doubtful
Jaylinn Hawkins, S — Chest — No status
Trey Hendrickson — OLB — Finger — Questionable
Keondre Jackson — S — Shoulder — No status
Nnamdi Madubuike — DT — Neck — Out
John Simpson — G — Groin — Questionable
Ronnie Stanley — T — Toe — Questionable
T.J. Tampa — CB — Knee — Out
Devontez Walker — WR — Groin — No status
On top of the Ravens already ruling out Tampa, the team has also made the decision to rule out Madubuike and Buchanan. Both are still working their way back from season-ending injuries and will not make their 2026 debut in Week 2.
Some good news is that Flowers may be doubtful, but he has not been ruled out just yet. A "doubtful" status doesn't necessarily mean he is out, but he will have an uphill battle to suit up for the game.
Also on the wide receiver front, fellow receiver Devontez Walker is fully healthy and will be able to offer a playmaker and some strong depth for the Baltimore pass catchers.
Guard John Simpson, tackle Ronnie Stanley, and outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson are all questionable. However, all three returned to practice in some capacity on Friday.
If Hendrickson cannot make the game due to his toe ailment, the Ravens definitely have plenty to step in and offer some strong pass rush.
Should Stanley not be able to play due to his toe, it would be Carson Vinson who would step in as the backup guard. Additionally, it would be Andrew Vorhees or Emory Jones who would take over for Simpson if he cannot play.
Both safeties, Jaylinn Hawkins and Keondre Jackson, have no injury statuses for the game and will be able to take the field against the New Orleans Saints.
Losing Flowers would also be tough, but Baltimore is also in contact with veteran Brandin Cooks about potentially jumping in while Flowers heals.
