Baltimore Ravens head coach Jesse Minter is unsure how severe the injury to rookie guard Vega Ioane is.

The Baltimore Ravens have been facing injury issues on their offensive line all season, and that happened again on Sunday.

Rookie guard Vega Ioane injured his knee on Sunday and had to exit the game. He was initially ruled questionable and then was ruled out. During media availability on Monday, head coach Jesse Minter did not offer an update on the severity of the knee injury.

Ioane had just returned to his natural position of right guard, but now he could miss some time.

The injuries on the line began early on as both starting center Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic were both lost to long-term injuries. This led to the Ravens having to move into an emergency situation, which called on Ioane to step in.

Ioane took over for Weeks 5 and 6 at center, and the line continued to suffer injuries. Backup guard Andrew Vorhees suffered a foot injury, leading to missed time and third-stringer Emery Jones Jr. stepping in.

The Ravens had made Vorhees inactive on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, and Ione went down with a knee injury. This led to Jones stepping in yet again.

In terms of how the line may look now, Ioane is still getting things "looked at," per Minter. The Baltimore head coach also said they would know more on Wednesday.

Minter is often forthcoming with injury details until those details are fully known. This may or may not point to Ioane potentially missing some significant time.

The good news for the offensive line is the center position is figured out. Ioane moved back to the right guard position as center Cam Jurgens was healthy and started on Sunday.

Jurgens was the former center for the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Ravens pulled off a trade to land him. The issue was the player was dealing with a concussion, and was not healthy enough until Week 7.

With the center being sorted, the right guard position will be the biggest concern. The Ravens could move forward with Vorhees, but his being made inactive on Sunday is a bit odd.

Injuries continually popping up on the line might point to Baltimore needing to make some big investments in the line yet again.

With the Nov. 10 trade deadline approaching, the Ravens may need to bring in some solid starters or depth pieces. That will especially be true if it is revealed that Ioane will miss multiple weeks.
