The Baltimore Ravens have landed a prediction to add a towering 6-foot-7 tight end following the 2026 NFL season.
Entering the 2026 NFL season, the Baltimore Ravens were widely viewed as a potential Super Bowl contender in the AFC. Through seven games, they hold a 4-3 record after two straight losses to AFC North division rivals.
Unfortunately, the Ravens have been forced to overcome adversity already this season. Lamar Jackson has been missing time due to an ankle injury. Thankfully, it has been reported that he is expected to return to the field this week against the Buffalo Bills.
While all eyes are on the present, it's never too early to begin looking at the future.
The front office of every team in the NFL has to be well ahead of the present. For Baltimore, keeping the championship window open will be a tall task. The Ravens will need to make high-quality moves during the 2027 NFL offseason.
Keeping that in mind, a new prediction has been made that would see Baltimore bring in a towering 6-foot-7 tight end to give Jackson another weapon.
NFL Trade Rumors analyst Ethan Woodie has released a new 2027 NFL mock draft. In that mock draft, he has the Ravens selecting LSU tight end Trey'Dez Green.
Green stands in at 6-foot-7 and nearly 240 pounds. His size alone would give Jackson an intriguing new element within the offensive game plan.
So far this season with LSU, Green has caught 19 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns. Last season, he racked up 33 receptions for 433 yards and seven scores.
Currently, the Ravens have Mark Andrews as their starting tight end. Behind him, they have Matt Hibner and Josh Cuetas. Losing Isaiah Likely in free agency was a tough blow for the Baltimore offense.
Andrews isn't getting any younger. He is currently 31 years old. It's time for the Ravens to start looking at the future of the tight end position.
Bringing in a tight end with elite size like Green would be an intriguing option. There is never a guarantee with young players, but he would be worth taking a gamble on.
That being said, it is important to note that a mock draft this early doesn't mean much. No one knows what pick Baltimore will actually have. Green will also need to continue producing at a high level for the Tigers to be drafted as high as No. 16 overall.
Despite those facts, Green is worth monitoring for the Ravens. They could use a long-term tight end option and he makes a lot of sense as a potential option.
