The Baltimore Ravens could look to the NFL Draft to solve their center issue.

The Baltimore Ravens have had a whirlwind of an offseason thus far.

The Ravens have had their fair share of struggles, especially in the free agency side of things. They've lost a multitude of key players this offseason, including Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum

Linderbaum's departure for the Las Vegas Raiders was a detrimental blow to the offensive line. Now, Baltimore is doing whatever it can to bolster that unit. So far, it's involved a mix of adding veterans like Danny Pinter and Jovaughn Gwyn.

However, that may not be enough, which is why the team needs to look at the draft for a center to help them now and in the future. One name they have been linked to is Auburn center Connor Lew.

Lew was a three-year starter for the Tigers. His 2025 season ended abruptly after suffering a torn ACL against Missouri. He was held to seven games this past season.

Lew is set to turn 21 in August. While he's recovering from the major injury, he could still be an impactful player for the Ravens.

It would give Baltimore a player they not only need, but want. Adding a reliable center this offseason is a top priority for protecting Lamar Jackson.

Lew has a lot of great intangible assets, which include a strong awareness, recognition, and intelligence against games and stunts in pass protection. On top of that, he also possesses good athleticism in the run game, consistently reaching the second level and taking proper angles.

According to NFL Draft analyst Lance Zierlein, Lew's NFL comparison is Pittsburgh Steelers center Zach Frazier.

"Lew is a team captain recovering from an ACL injury suffered in October 2025. He’s a natural bender with better foot quickness and athleticism than he shows in the Auburn run scheme. He has strong hands and a strong core to neutralize. He can bump and climb with good fluidity. He’s average as a drive blocker and needs to play with better consistency to mirror the rush without over-setting. His frame and game will continue to improve with time. Lew’s toughness, intelligence and leadership give him a slight grade bump and are core traits that should make him a solid starter."

Zierlein gave Lew a prospect grade of 6.87, which projects him as an eventual starter at the next level. If the Ravens take a chance on him, he would likely find himself near the top of the depth chart right away, despite recovering from a torn ACL.
