A look at where the Baltimore Ravens stand in the national power rankings after their wild Week 3 win.
The Baltimore Ravens pulled off a near-impossible win, as the offense pulled off a huge over-the-middle pass to wide receiver Zay Flowers and capped it off with a last-second game-winner from kicker Tyler Loop.
With the first NFL game taking place in Rio, the Ravens delivered a classic against the Dallas Cowboys and moved to 2-1 on the season.
Here is where they stand in the national power rankings.
ESPN - No. 5
ESPN has the Ravens making a huge leap from No. 12 to No. 5 after their Week 3 win. It is understandable the jump, and longtime beat writer Jamison Hensley spoke about Zay Flowers returning to prominence being a big reason.
Flowers secured 84 yards on five receptions and tacked on a 20-yard run. He definitely did not look as though he had a hamstring injury.
Yahoo Sports - No. 5
Yahoo Sports has the Ravens jumping up two spots from No. 7 to No. 5. The most impressive thing to the publication and the entire sports world was the manner in which Baltimore won.
The throw to Flowers, the sheer clock management from quarterback Lamar Jackson to call a timeout immediately, and the kick will go down in the NFL history books.
The conversation about blowing fourth-quarter games might no longer follow the Ravens for much longer if they can continue in this matter moving forward.
NFL.com - No. 5
NFL.com sees no change for the Ravens from Week 2 to Week 3, but they remain a top-five team.
This ranking does point to the lack of red zone efficiency, which may be corrected as the weeks go on. It all depends on how Flowers and the rest of the offense bounce back in Week 4.
The Athletic - No. 11
The Athletic has the Ravens moving up two spots from No. 13, but this is a bit harsher a placement for Baltimore.
Regardless of the placement, The Athletic points to Jackson shaking off his issues in 2025 and being the same quarterback he has been known to be in recent years. He also leads the league with 9.9 air yards per attempt, which is an indicator that Declan Doyle's offense is settling in.
The Verdict
The consensus seems to be that the Ravens are a top-five team, though they do have some struggles to get over. Mainly, the offense is reestablishing itself now that Flowers is back in the lineup and healthy.
For our own concerns, the offensive line shake-up and center injuries may be a huge factor in seeing how this Baltimore team can continue finding ways to win close games.
