Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers made a clear stance on his pending contract and future with the team.

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers made a clear stance on his pending contract and future with the team.

While speaking to the media on Wednesday at the voluntary offseason program, Flowers made his feelings clear on if he is worried about landing a long-term deal. The former first-round pick said that he lets the people in charge handle that; instead, he just focuses on getting better.

"I ain't really paying attention to [my contract], if I'm being honest. I go train every day. I let my agents handle that," Flowers said.

Questions about Flowers' upcoming contract only intensified after his 2023 draftmate Jaxon Smith-Njigba reset the wide receiver market this offseason with a record four-year, $168.6 million contract.

Flowers is eligible for a contract extension for the first time in his career this offseason. While he is eligible for an extension, the Ravens are expected to pick up his fifth option by May 1.

If the fifth-year option is picked up, the Ravens would pay Flowers a guaranteed $27.29 million.

The 25-year-old has a strong desire to remain in Baltimore for the foreseeable future, stating that he does not want to go anywhere. Flowers has made a name for himself in Baltimore, becoming arguably the best homegrown pass catcher in franchise history.

Since he entered the NFL, Flowers has had the 11th most receiving yards (3,128). The two-time Pro Bowler has been solid in his career thus far. He has been available more often than not, playing in 50 of a possible 51 games and producing more each season.

In his career, Flowers has recorded 237 receptions on 342 targets, 3,128 receiving yards, an average of 13.2 yards per reception, 14 touchdowns, and averaged 62.6 yards per game. Flowers has a catch percentage of 69.3 percent. He has been named a Pro Bowler for the past two seasons.

In his rookie season, Flowers finished sixth in Offensive Rookie of the Year voting.

While Flowers has been great for the Ravens, it is clear that they need to bolster the wide receiver room. The Ravens hold the No. 14 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, and there is a chance the team selects a pass catcher to take the offense to another level.

However, the team has other needs, so it is far from a guarantee that Baltimore takes a wide receiver in the first round. Still, Baltimore can improve that department via free agency. There are still a handful of veteran wide receivers who can contribute alongside Flowers and Lamar Jackson

Flowers will soon enter his fourth season in the league, and after a career year, expectations are high for him to elevate his game even further.
