Stars depart, but Seattle secures rising cornerback Josh Jobe, proving they can retain talent amidst a Super Bowl winner's free agency rush.

Some have predicted a "mass exodus,'' as after winning the Super Bowl in a dominant performance, an assortment of Seattle Seahawks have earned the right to seek massive paydays in NFL free agency, which opens up this week.

But GM John Schneider's not gonna lose 'em all ... right?

Right?

With free agency looming, guys like Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker, Riq Woolen, Coby Bryant, Boye Mafe, Rashid Shaheed and Josh Jobe are eligible to move.

The departure of running back Walker seemed inevitable ... and indeed, he's signing with the Chiefs.

Mafe is also out, with a $20 mil APY deal with the Bengals.

Bryant is moving to the Bears.

And with others, like Woolen, maybe it's time for a change.

But Jobe? To some experts, he's very much seen as a keeper - and it's worked out that way, as on Monday it was announced that he's re-upping here.

Jobe came here as an undrafted cornerback out of Alabama and spend some time with the Super Bowl Eagles.

But the Seahawks saw him as a starter.

And now?

Early in 2025, coach Mike Macdonald spoke about Jobe's work.

Said Macdonald: “He’s tough, physical. ... Deserves a lot of credit. I’m happy for him. All this guy does is work and try to pay attention to detail and prepare. Doesn’t have a lot to say for it, which is cool; that’s his personality. He’s playing really good football right now.”

That was then. This is a new "right now.'' And Seahawks fans surely are happy that Jobe did find a way to make things match up financially with the Seahawks.
