Shaheed will be used more as a receiver under Brian Fleury, and one analyst thinks fireworks are about to happen.
The Seattle Seahawks' offense in 2026 does have a little unknown about it as there have been a couple of changes to that side of the ball.
Brian Fleury takes over as offensive coordinator, while there is no Kenneth Walker, and special teams ace Rashid Shaheed is set to have a big role in the passing game.
A bit-part player on offense in 2025, Shaheed is now becoming a key cog in the machine for Fleury, with short and intermediate routes seeing Rashid become really effective.
With Jaxon Smith-Njigba as the key weapon, along with Cooper Kupp and AJ Barner, Rasheed is expected to help carry the load in the passing game.
We know of his elite speed and home run threat, but Fleury clearly wants him to be more than that. Get the ball into his hands in open space and let him go to work.
But what could we expect from Rasheed as he reverts back to more of a receiver in 2026?
CBS Sports' Douglas Clawson, in his bold predictions piece, thinks Rasheed can go for 1,000 receiving yards.
"The Seahawks are going to work Rashid Shaheed into the offense to the tune of a 1,000-yard receiving season," Clawson wrote. "The gamebreaker became the fifth player in NFL history with 800+ scrimmage yards and at least three return touchdowns in a season last year (including playoffs), along with Gale Sayers, Troy Brown, Reggie Bush and Tyreek Hill. Now he's going to break out after an entire offseason to get acclimated to the Seahawks playbook."
So it will need to be a career-best season from Shaheed.
He posted 719 yards in a season back in 2023 with the New Orleans Saints, and last season, combined with the Saints and Seahawks, he managed 687 yards. So he's been productive.
But to get 1,000 yards is a big call, hence the bold prediction, but with JSN, the only other receiver who will get a lot of targets each week, there could be a lot of opportunities for Shaheed in the passing game.
If he were to get to 1,000 yards, I'd imagine JSN will too; that will give Sam Darnold two bona fide weapons in the passing game. Now, Rashid might have to hit a couple of home runs to bolster his yardage totals, but we know that's in his locker.
