There has been a lot of moving and shaking personnel-wise this offseason for Seattle, but there's also been a big coaching change as well.
It has been an interesting offseason for the Seattle Seahawks as Mike Macdonald's team has undergone some changes to the roster, but also among the coaching staff.
With the likes of Kenneth Walker, Riq Woolen, Coby Bryant, and Boye Mafe all moving on, the Seahawks lost some key pieces on both sides of the ball. But we know how well constructed the roster is, and many think the Seahawks can cover those losses.
But what about coordinators?
Klint Kubiak was the offensive mastermind last season, helping orchestrate Sam Darnold's superb season and elevating Jaxon Smith-Njigba in 2025.
But now Kubiak is the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, a move that some think is bigger than what others are making it out to be for Seattle.
Enter Brian Fleury as the new offensive coordinator, who has been around the league for years, and most recently, with the San Francisco 49ers as run game coordinator and tight ends coach.
This is Fleury's first offensive coordinator position in the NFL, so there is a lot of unknown about what we can expect in 2026 from the Seahawks' offense.
And for Fox Sports' Greg Auman, he's named the top 10 coordinators who could shape the NFL season, and he has Fleury coming in at No. 2.
"Brian Fleury, 47, had a longer path to coaching in the NFL, spending four years each at Sacred Heart and Towson before getting his first pro coaching job," Auman wrote. "He spent the last four years as the 49ers' tight ends coach, but now he's a first-time play-caller armed with one of the best offenses in the NFL. Can the run game stay solid with Kenneth Walker gone and first-rounder Jadarian Price stepping in?
"Can Sam Darnold continue to play at a Pro Bowl level when Seattle has a target on their backs every week as defending champs? This was an outside-the-box hire that's crucial to the Seahawks' hopes of getting back to another Super Bowl."
How the offense runs with Fleury calling the plays is going to be an interesting thing to see develop.
Plus, can he continue Darnold's rise? Last season, Sam was superb in the playoffs, and yes, a little wobbly at times in the regular season. But when it came time to put the team on his back, he did.
Also, will the run game be as effective? Coming from the 49ers, you would imagine so, but with no Walker leading it, that is an unknown.
So too is the ability to continue JSN's rise to becoming one of the best weapons in football. How Fleury uses Smith-Njigba and schemes him open could be the determining factor in how far the Seahawks go in 2026.
We know what we're getting from the defense, but the offense? That's a question mark, hence why Fleury has a very real chance to seriously influence the 2026 season...if things go well.
