Seattle's Jaxon Smith-Njigba dominated the league with 1,793 receiving yards, clinching Offensive Player of the Year and helping lead the Seahawks to Super Bowl LX.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba capped a remarkable 2025 season by being named the Associated Press Offensive Player of the Year at the 15th annual NFL Honors ceremony on February 5, 2026 — one of the most prestigious individual accolades in professional football.

JSN's award marks only the second time in franchise history that a Seahawk has earned the honor, joining former running back Shaun Alexander, who won both Offensive Player of the Year and MVP back in 2005.

The 23-year-old’s ascent to elite NFL status has been nothing short of spectacular, especially considering his early career trajectory and the lofty expectations he faced coming out of college.

During the 2025 regular season, Smith-Njigba led the entire league with 1,793 receiving yards on 119 receptions, while also hauling in 10 touchdowns. His yardage total ranks among the top single-season receiving performances in NFL history and set new franchise records for the Seahawks, highlighting his consistency and dominance week in and week out.

The OPOY voting was competitive, with 49ers running Christian McCaffrey coming in second. Fellow NFC West wide receiver Puka Nacua also received his fair share of votes as well.

Falcons running back Bijan Robinson and Patriots quarterback Drake Maye were also given a shoutout in the voting.

But Smith-Njigba stood above all of them.

His performance was not only statistically elite but also instrumental in Seattle’s offensive success, helping them secure the NFC’s top seed and a berth in Super Bowl LX.

Smith-Njigba’s achievement is a testament to his growth as a complete offensive weapon. A standout at Ohio State — where he set multiple school receiving records — he was drafted 20th overall by the Seahawks in 2023 and steadily evolved into one of the league’s premier wideouts. His ability to create separation, make contested catches, and produce big yardage after the catch has made him a constant threat and a matchup nightmare for defenses.

As he prepares for the biggest game of the season in the Super Bowl, his OPOY win caps a year that firmly establishes him among the NFL’s offensive elite.
