Super Bowls are where the legacies of players are defined, and for Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker, it could also significantly add to his free agency value.
Playing on the final year of his rookie deal, Walker had himself a superb 2025 season, rushing for 1,027 yards and 5 TDs to be the dominant force on the ground for Seattle.
Already a key piece of the offense, when Zach Charbonnet went down with an ACL injury, all eyes were on Walker to see if he could carry the load in the postseason.
Well, he could.
Kenneth posted 178 yards and 4 TDs in two games as he helped propel the Seahawks to the Super Bowl.
Now, just one win away, it can be hard to think about anything other than playing in the biggest game on the NFL's calendar. A game that so many players fail to see during their careers, and one that they fight and strive just to get near.
As for Walker, his future is also on his mind, and when asked if he would like to remain in Seattle, he gave an interesting answer.
"I've been here four years, so you know I've gotten to know a lot of stuff about Seattle, and you know a lot of the city, and I feel like they feel good about me as well," Walker said via NFL.com. "So if it was my choice, though, I'd definitely stay."
Hmm, "if it was my choice." That's grabbed our attention.
Of course, we know it takes two to tango in negotiations, and for Walker, he isn't set to be a run-of-the-mill free agent running back. He's set to be, potentially, the top one on the market.
And that means the bidding war will commence soon, and that might be something Seattle, who already has Charbonnet in their back pocket, might not want to get into.
Spotrac.com has Walker's value set at $8.4 million APY, with a proposed four-year contract, and $33.5 million as what Kenneth could expect this offseason.
That doesn't look like it would bust Seattle's budget, and given how important Walker is to the Seahawks' offense, getting his future sorted out is crucial.
But as Kenneth stated, the decision for him to stay a Seahawk isn't all on him.
He wants to stay. Let's see if the franchise feels the same.
