Led by Jaxon Smith-Njigba, how does Seattle's receiver room stack up against the NFL's best?
The Seattle Seahawks' offense entering the 2026 season is going to look a little different, mainly because of no Kenneth Walker.
But the weapons at Sam Darnold's disposal can still create nightmares for defenses.
We know all about Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who is coming off an All-Pro season, and you could easily make the case that he is one of, if not the best receiver in football right now.
Elsewhere, the veteran Cooper Kupp is still as crafty as ever, and while he might not be the triple crown monster he was years ago, Kupp still knows how to get open and move the chains.
Perhaps the biggest "addition," if you like, is Rashid Shaheed, who is going from special teams ace to a legitimate weapon in 2026 for Darnold.
So, all three are in good shape ahead of the 2026 season, but when we rank them up against the rest of the NFL's receiver rooms, how do they fare?
CBS Sports' Jared Dubin has ranked all 32 WR rooms, and the Seahawks, maybe somewhat surprisingly, come in at No. 6.
"Jaxon Smith-Njigba is arguably the best receiver in football," Dubin writes.
"Rashid Shaheed is an A+ deep threat who has shown he can also be more than that. Cooper Kupp isn't what he once was but can be a reliable tertiary option. The injuries further down the depth chart hurt and prevent the Seahawks from ranking any higher than this."
That surely bodes well for the season, right?
Well, barring injuries, there isn't any reason to think this Seattle offense, led by new coordinator Brian Fleury, won't be able to move the ball down the field through the air.
JSN is going to get a lot of attention, so that could open up some nice opportunities for Shaheed, Kupp, and even the likes of Tory Horton, who was just starting to blossom as a receiver last year until injury struck.
With Darnold at quarterback and having another year with this offense, you could easily envision the group as a whole taking a step forward.
Yes, JSN is the centerpiece, and how he deals with the increased spotlight on him from defenses will be interesting, but with Kupp's savvy route running and Shaheed's blistering home-run speed, the Seahawks do have other weapons that can hurt you.
A sixth-ranked receiver room? I think fans would take that.
