The Seahawks have just won the Super Bowl to sit atop the NFL mountain, but staying there is a tough thing to do.

The Seattle Seahawks are NFL champs, and we expect the celebrations to last long into the week for Mike Macdonald's team.

But one thing we know about climbing the NFL mountain to the summit is that while it is hard to do it, it's even harder to stay there.

That means the Seahawks, for as well-rounded and great as they were in 2025, can't stand still and expect the same things to work in 2026.

One way to give yourself the best chance at repeating as Super Bowl champs is to continue to acquire top talent to bolster your roster. The good thing for the Seahawks is that at the time of writing, per Over The Cap, the Seahawks have $72 million in cap space available.

So that is ample room to sign some of their own (Kenneth Walker), while also looking at the free agency pool, and giving themselves some heavy artillery to attack, maybe a monster trade.

And that brings us to Ben Strauss of Clutchpoints.com.

He has a monster trade idea for the Seahawks that sees them partner with the New York Giants. Here are Strauss' terms.

The Seahawks get Dexter Lawrence, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and Deonte Banks, along with a 2026 second-round, fourth-round, and sixth-round pick.

Goodness me, that is quite the haul and would give the Seahawks' already devastating defensive front a big injection of fear.

But what would Seattle give up to get such a haul? Again, Strauss has his thoughts.

The Giants would get Uchenna Nwosu, a 2026 first-round pick, a second-round pick, and a 2027 third-round pick.

Hmm, right. It doesn't seem like the Giants get the good end of the deal here.

They are trading away one bona fide star in Lawrence, and an up-and-coming pass rusher in Thibodeaux, along with Banks, and only really getting a first-round pick and Nwosu in return?

Strauss' thinking here is for the Giants to free up some cap space, and one team that has enough to swallow it is the Seahawks. So a win-win.

The Seahawks defense was already one of, if not the best in football in 2025.

But to then add Lawrence to the interior of the defensive line, and get some pass rush juice from Kayvon, back-to-back Super Bowl titles could be forthcoming.

I'm not sure if the Giants would actually pull the trigger on a deal like this, but if they did, the Seahawks would be the one's laughing...potentially all the way to another Super Bowl.
