Yes, it's early, but the Seahawks' projection for the 2026 win total has been revealed.

We aren't even a month removed from the Super Bowl, and we are already getting projections for the 2026 season, one that will see the Seattle Seahawks as the defending champs.

Mike Macdonald's team was one of the most consistent all season, culminating in a stellar playoff run and Super Bowl win.

But how much confidence is there that the Seahawks can climb the NFL mountain again with a big target on their back?

That will ultimately depend on how many players the front office can retain, with several stars set to enter free agency and command big contracts.

But the foundations have been laid by Macdonald, and entering Year 3, we get the sense that the Seahawks will have just as good a chance as any team to claim Super Bowl glory.

But that's us. What about the odds makers?

CBS Sports' R.J. White, in his 2026 win projection totals piece, uses the odds from DraftKings, and Seattle's win total is exactly what you would expect -- high.

The Seahawks' win projection is 10.5 wins.

"The Seahawks get a relatively light set of divisional winners among their uncommon opponents with NFC upstarts in the Bears and Panthers on the schedule, along with a Super Bowl rematch," White wrote.

Seattle's uncommon opponents for 2026 are the Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, and the Patriots. All three are division champs, but you can make the case that the trio is a relatively smooth ride for the Seahawks, at least right now.

But as we know, these win projections have been released before free agency and the NFL Draft. And we know how much a roster can change during that period, so we might have to revisit it later.

But at face value, the Seahawks winning 10 or 11 games in 2026 is realistic, even in a division that also houses the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams.

You could make the case that's the hardest division in football, and that is going to make 2026 tough sledding for the defending champs.

But we have our marker for Seattle, and time will tell if it can replicate its 2025 performance, or even get close to it.

Because the hunter has now become the hunted.
