The Seattle Seahawks travel to face the Washington Commanders on Sunday at Northwest Stadium with Mike Macdonald's team aiming to continue their undefeated start to the year.
Sam Darnold was a big storyline this week as he battled back from a glute injury that saw him miss the 31-7 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
Having practiced and feeling good, Darnold will start for Seattle, meaning he only missed one game, when many thought at the time of his injury that he could miss up to a month.
So that is great news for the Seahawks, but for the Commanders, Jayden Daniels is out after his nasty elbow injury suffered against the Dallas Cowboys last week, so it is the Marcus Mariota show for Washington's home opener.
The Seahawks suffocated the New England Patriots in Week 1, and after a rough first half against Arizona, put the foot down and outscored them 24-0 in the second half.
Macdonald's defense is already in elite form, so the Commanders' offense will have their work cut out getting much from the "Dark Side" on Sunday.
Still, Washington was able to do some good things against Dallas, so this won't be all one-way traffic, but Seattle is a different beast compared to the Cowboys.
Despite being on the road, many are picking the Seahawks to take care of business and move to 3-0, and after what we've seen from both teams in this early part of the season, it could be close for a half, but Seattle should fancy its chances of claiming its third win of the year.
