The Seahawks have a lot of young players ascending entering 2026, and two have landed on a list that should please Seattle fans.
The Seattle Seahawks will enter the 2026 season as defending Super Bowl champions, and their roster remains one of the most well-rounded in football.
Yes, they have their stars, but one of the Seahawks' strengths is that the entire roster is capable of producing when called upon.
But some fans like to know that their team is in good standing for the years ahead, and not fall off a cliff age-wise.
Well, the Seahawks, at the time of writing, have just three players 30 years or older per ESPN. That is a good start.
But the real power of this roster comes from its group of players with a handful of years of experience and widely regarded as the best at their positions in football.
CBS Sports' Tyler Sullivan has ranked the top 25 players in the NFL 25 years old or under entering the new season, and two Seahawks make the list, and they make it high.
The first is star corner Devon Witherspoon, who comes in at No. 10.
"By the time the 2026 regular season kicks off, there's a good chance Devon Witherspoon will be the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL," Sullivan wrote.
"Witherspoon excels in coverage, can get after the quarterback and is stout against the run, making him a key piece of Seattle's top-flight defense that helped deliver a Super Bowl last season."
That is an easy selection, as Witherspoon has proved since he was drafted that he is an elite corner and a foundational building block for the Seahawks.
Yes, his contract status is a big watch over the coming months, but there is no doubting he's one of the best at his position.
So that is one; we mentioned there were two Seattle players who made this list, and for most fans, it's rather easy to guess who the other is.
It's Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who comes in at No. 5.
"His 1,793 receiving yards during the regular season led the NFL and set a Seahawks franchise record," Sullivan wrote.
"Now, he's regarded as one of the NFL's top receivers and became the league's highest-paid player at the position this offseason after signing a four-year, $168 million extension."
Last season, it was the Smith-Njigba show on offense, with the All-Pro having 1,200 more yards, 72 more receptions, 93 more targets and eight more touchdowns than the next-best receiver (Cooper Kupp).
That is astonishing.
With Witherspoon and Smith-Njigba entering the prime of their careers, the Seahawks' future is in great hands, and fans will look to these two stars as the driving forces behind Seattle's next Super Bowl triumph.
