Entering his second season with the Seahawks, it's clear whose team this is as Seattle finishes up its OTAs.
Last season, Sam Darnold was the ultimate redemption story for the Seattle Seahawks, leading the team to a Super Bowl win.
Coming from the Minnesota Vikings with a lot of question marks and doubts, Darnold led the Seahawks to a 14-3 regular season record and then went on a 3-0 run in the postseason en route to a Super Bowl win.
With the "bust" narrative now well and truly dead as Darnold has done something Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, and Lamar Jackson haven't, attention turns to what Sam will dish up in Year 2 with Seattle.
But things will be different.
Darnold has a new voice in his ear with Brian Fleury taking over the offensive coordinator role from Klint Kubiak, so there will be an adjustment period for Sam.
Granted, he's stated things have remained largely the same with Fleury in charge, with a couple of new wrinkles thrown in.
And as the Seahawks finished up OTAs and now head on a short break before training camp begins, Seattle Sports analyst Brock Huard came away from the last practice with an overwhelmingly positive thought on Darnold.
"Sam Darnold is awesome," Huard said. "I mean, one year ago from right now to last year I didn't think any of us knew Sam Darnold would turn out to what he ended up being, Super Bowl champion.
"But you watch him out here [at practice] when you watch the precision, the timing, accuracy, command, he's the general, this is his team, and everybody knows it, and that's a nice place to be for a franchise."

So as good as Darnold was last season, it appears he's in a better spot than he was a year ago.
The command and the timing with the offense will hopefully put Fleury's offense in good standing for the season ahead as Seattle aims to give it a good shot at repeating as champs.
Of course, this is just OTAs, and most routes are run of air with defenders not able to really "play," but it sure beats the alternative, doesn't it?
The true test will be once training camp rolls around and then the regular season, but the positive vibes are flowing for the Seahawks, with "The General" in charge of proceedings.
