The Seattle Seahawks are one win away from NFL immortality, with the New England Patriots as their opponents in the Super Bowl.
Mike Macdonald's team has been one of the most consistent units in football all season, and now, they're four quarters away from everything coming together just as they envisioned back in training camp.
Of course, Mike Vrabel and the Patriots feel the same, so this will be a fascinating battle.
As far as Seattle is concerned, an offense that is great at running the football with Kenneth Walker and equally adept at tearing defenses apart through the air with Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the Patriots will have their work cut out.
Of course, just because you are good at one thing doesn't mean that "thing" will be what wins you the game on Sunday. You can bet your house that Vrabel will take something away from the Seahawks.
And for offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, he knows his offense has to be ready to win in a host of ways on Sunday.
"I think every game we go into, you know, you have to be able to win more than one way because they're going to make it really hard for us to run the football," Kubiak said via NFL.com. "That's part of our identity, something that we want to do. But you've got to make adjustments when it's not going well.
"You've got to be ready to win the game scoring 50 or to win the game scoring nine. Just do whatever it takes to win."
So it is clear that Kubiak and the Seahawks have multiple ways to win the game, but they won't know which lever they'll have to pull against the Patriots.
We saw in the NFC Championship game that it was Darnold who took the lead, throwing for over 300 yards and 3 TDs, while Walker posted just 66 rushing yards.
Conversely, the week prior in the divisional round against the San Francisco 49ers, it was Walker as the chief destroyer (116 rushing yards, 3 TDs), while Darnold played second-fiddle, throwing just 124 yards.
So the Seahawks have proven they can win in a variety of ways, and heading into the Super Bowl, Kubiak knows his offense is going to have to adjust on the fly.
