A chest injury sidelines Seattle’s first-round star for four weeks, forcing the backfield to lean on Emanuel Wilson and George Holani to ignite a struggling ground game.

The original Jadarian Price plan isn't quite working out just yet.

The Seattle Seahawks welcome the 0-3 Los Angeles Chargers to Lumen Field on Sunday, with Mike Macdonald's team looking to get back in the winner's circie.

After their up-and-down performance against the Washington Commanders, a smoother performance across the board is needed by Macdonald's team if they want to continue L.A.'s winless start to 2026.

And it appears that doing such thing might be a little more difficult, at least offensively.

We know that running back Price has been dealing with a chest injury, and now we know the rookie has aggravated it again and - disappointingly, because there is such faith that the first-rounder might someday be a star - is moving to the four-week IR list.

That means it will be a heavy dose of Emanuel Wilson and George Holani for Brian Fleury's offense on Sunday and beyond, as the group is more than capable of putting up some good numbers.

We know that Wilson can, after his exploits in the win over the Arizona Cardinals that saw him pick up 92 yards from 21 carries, so something similar will be needed on Sunday.

Also, Holani is going to need to shoulder more of a workload as well, and with only 15 attempts for 52 yards across three games, he should be fresh to work well in tandem with Wilson.

With the run game struggling to get rolling against the Commanders, totaling just 44 yards, the Seahawks know that if they are to beat the Chargers at home, the run game has to come to the party.

The Chargers have given up 116, 57, and 176 yards on the ground in the first three weeks, so there is a vulnerability there for Mike McDaniel's offense.

The big question is, can the Seahawks, with Wilson and Holani, put enough stress on the Chargers' defensive line so that Sam Darnold doesn't have to throw it 45 times?

That's the hope, and we would imagine after last week's effort, Fleury will be making a concerted effort to get the ground game rolling early at Lumen Field.

But he'll have to do it without Price.
