The Seahawks come up against a winless Chargers team, but Darnold isn't getting sucked into the record narrative of Jim Harbaugh's team.

The Seattle Seahawks will welcome the winless Los Angeles Chargers to Lumen Field on Sunday as Mike Macdonald's team looks to get back on the winner's list.

After last week's 33-31 loss to the Washington Commanders, it was a nice little reality check for the Super Bowl champs, and now they face a Chargers team that will be itching to notch their first win of the year.

But as we know, records don't always tell the full story.

Yes, the Chargers' offense has struggled mightily, but the defense has been middle of the pack, so not completely bad.

Still with talent on both sides of the ball, most of us know that this Chargers team isn't a true 0-3 team.

And for Darnold, he doesn't look at the record when preparing for Sunday; it's all about what he sees on tape.

"It's all about tape for us," Darnold said. "About the players, because that's why the NFL is so great, that's why people love watching because it truly is any Sunday. Again, it's a really good football team, really well coached, good players. So, we just got to continue to prepare and do our thing and make sure we're ready to go out there and play well."

And Darnold is right.

The Chargers have Justin Herbert at quarterback, Mike McDaniel calling the plays, and while they haven't scored more than 16 points in a game yet, some think that will come.

So the Seahawks know the Chargers will come into Lumen Field fighting for their lives, because if L.A. drops to 0-4, you can pretty much kiss their 2026 season goodbye.

That means this could be a game where both sides of the ball give Seattle unscouted looks as they go for broke because a loss would be devastating.

Seattle has to be prepared for anything, and with Macdonald at the helm, I imagine it will be, and let's not forget, the Seahawks are coming off a loss as well, so they will want retribution.

Will they get it on Sunday?
