As Los Angeles builds a defensive juggernaut to attempt to dethrone the reigning champions, Seattle’s safety delivers a bold social media jab fueled by recent Super Bowl glory.
The Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams appear to be headed for another intense battle for NFC West supremacy, and Nick Emmanwori is already adding some fuel to the rivalry.
After the Rams officially brought future Hall of Fame defensive tackle Aaron Donald out of retirement, the Seahawks safety offered a short but pointed response on social media.
"All of that for us," Emmanwori said on X.
The comment was clearly meant to poke fun at the Rams’ offseason and the lengths the division rival has gone to in an attempt to catch the Seahawks.
Los Angeles has made several major additions to its defense this offseason. The Rams acquired Myles Garrett in a blockbuster trade earlier this year, added cornerback Trent McDuffie, and signed Jaylen Watson before completing the stunning move to bring Donald back into the fold.
Taken together, those moves have transformed what was already expected to be a talented defense into one of the most intimidating units in the NFL.
From Emmanwori’s perspective, however, there is a simple explanation for all of it: Seattle.
The Seahawks enter the 2026 season as reigning Super Bowl champions after defeating the Rams in the NFC Championship Game last season. The rivalry was already intense before that meeting, with the two teams splitting their regular-season matchups.
Their games were remarkably competitive throughout the year. The Rams won the first meeting 21-19, while Seattle answered with a dramatic 38-37 overtime victory. The Seahawks then eliminated Los Angeles with a 31-27 victory in the NFC Championship Game.
With that recent history, it is easy to understand why Emmanwori would have some fun with the Rams' latest moves.
Donald’s return makes the rivalry even more intriguing. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year remains one of the greatest defensive players of all time, while Garrett gives Los Angeles another elite pass rusher to pair with him.
The Rams are clearly building with the goal of taking the NFC West — and ultimately the Super Bowl — away from Seattle.
Emmanwori, meanwhile, doesn't appear particularly concerned.
His four-word response doesn't necessarily mean the Seahawks are taking the Rams lightly. Instead, it serves as a reminder that Seattle believes it has already established itself as the team to beat.
The Rams can add as much star power as they want. Eventually, they'll have to prove it against the defending champions.
And Emmanwori seems more than happy to see them try.
