It appears that the Seattle defense has gotten under the skin of its rivals.
The Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl last season, and a big reason why was the play of Mike Macdonald's defense.
Nicknamed the "Dark Side," the Seahawks boasted the No. 1 defense in football, allowing just 17.2 points per game.
With the Seahawks in the NFC West, it is becoming known as one of the toughest, if not the toughest division in football. Housing Seattle, the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers and the Arizona Cardinals, it is a gauntlet.
Seattle, L.A., and San Francisco all seen as genuine chances for the NFC West crown, it leaves the Cardinals as somewhat of a forgotten team.
Having lost to the Seahawks twice last season, Macdonald's team has the edge over the Cardinals, and in fact, Arizona didn't win a division game at all in 2025.
So, when Trey McBride was on Bussin With the Boys and was asked which team is the Cardinals' biggest rival, it could be any of the three other teams.
But he chose Seattle.
"It's actually, to be honest, I think it's Seattle," McBride said. "That's a tough place to play. Their defense is a bunch of [expletive] talkers, and they have a really good team too, so I feel like every time we go to Seattle it's such a hostile environment.
"Lumen Field is such a cool place to play, and they've gotten the best of us the last couple times, so it'd be nice to get back on the winning side for sure."
The Cardinals lost 23-20 in Week 4, and then 44-22 in Week 10, so the franchise still has a bit of work to do if it wants a seat at the big boy table in the NFC West.
Last season, in truth, Seattle beat nearly everyone, going 14-3, so the Cardinals aren't exactly alone in getting beaten by the Seahawks, but as we know, losing division games stings a little more.
So for McBride, who went for 52 yards on seven catches in Week 4, and 127 yards and a touchdown from nine receptions in his two run-ins with the Seahawks, Macdonald's team sits comfortably as the one who are the Cardinals' biggest rivals.
