One of the big storylines to watch at training camp was how the running back depth chart would shake out, and we are starting to see things settle down.
When Kenneth Walker was allowed to walk out the door this offseason, the biggest question for the Seattle Seahawks was how the franchise would replace him.
We know that Zach Charbonnet would be the one to logically step up into the starting role, but with his ACL tear in the playoffs, that plan has been put on the back burner.
It led the Seahawks to draft Jadarian Price in the first round and sign Emanuel Wilson in free agency to pair with George Holani, who impressed in Seattle's playoff run to the Super Bowl.
But as the offseason workouts got underway, we still didn't know how the depth chart would shake out, but as the days rolled on, it became clear that Holani was rising up in the coaching staff's estimations.
Price has also flashed at times, and as a pass-catcher as well.
And for ESPN's Brady Henderson, the early indications are that the top two spots on the depth chart are starting to settle.
"It's not known when Zach Charbonnet will be ready to play or how the work will be split up once last year's co-starter returns after having ACL surgery in February," Henderson wrote. "In the meantime, incumbent George Holani, first-round pick Jadarian Price and free agent addition Emanuel Wilson are all competing for their share of what's likely to be a three-player backfield committee.
"Early indications suggest that Holani and Price will be the top two options, with Wilson mixing in as a powerful complement."
So, with Holani and Price set to at least begin the year at the top of the depth chart, it makes the impending return of Charbonnet a nice little pick-me-up for Brian Fleury's offense.
Having been Seattle's red zone threat last season, rushing for 12 TDs in the regular season, if we can add Price's bustling running style, along with what Holani does as a runner and pass-catcher, the running back room has a good look to it.
Of course, the true test will be how the group fares in the regular season, but right now, there appears to be a good mix with Holani, Price, and even Wilson, who has impressed as a pass-catcher.
Most knew that Price would be near the top of the depth chart, but it wasn't known who would be there with him, and early signs point to Holani being "that" guy.
