The Seahawks got the victory, but the offense stumbled in the second half as L.A. mounted a comeback.

The Seattle Seahawks' 30-23 win over the Los Angeles Chargers at Lumen Field was one that shouldn't have been that close.

After racing out to a 27-6 lead early in the third quarter, the Seahawks had the game in hand with the defense keeping L.A. in check and the offense able to put up points.

But things changed dramatically in the fourth quarter, as the Seahawks offense stumbled, and the Chargers found life.

The Chargers scored a touchdown in the third quarter, to which Seattle replied with a field goal, but after that, it was one-way traffic.

L.A. responded with another touchdown, but then a Seattle punt, a Chargers field goal, and another Seattle punt had the score at 30-23 in the Seahawks' favor...and L.A. had the ball.

Luckily, the defense held firm and forced a fumble from Justin Herbert, as the Seahawks turned what looked like an easy day at home into a potential nightmare.

"It's a good win against a really good team," Darnold said. "I think there's a lot of things that we could do better offensively. So, we'll just got to look at the tape, got to look at ourselves in the mirror, and see how we can get better from it."

The Seahawks got back on the winner's list, and for some fans, that is all that matters, but there are others who look at this game and see a 27-6 lead in the third quarter evaporate and the offense struggle to find its groove again.

Still, the defense managed to see out the Chargers' last offensive possession, but in an ideal world, it would never have come to that.

Seattle had this game in hand and, for whatever reason, took its foot off the gas, or L.A. simply clicked into gear.

Either way, it made for a tense finish, and Darnold knows that the offensive failures in that fourth quarter nearly cost his team the win.

So, yeah, it's look in the mirror time for Seattle, because it got away with this one, and next time, it might not be so lucky.
