The Seahawks got some good work in against Tennessee, but how did Darnold think the day went?

We are at the stage of the NFL summer during which players are getting tired of going against the same people day in, day out.

In that vein, the Seattle Seahawks, this week had a joint practice against the Tennessee Titans.

With most NFL teams at this time of the offseason having joint practices, it offers each team a chance to go against someone different.

You don't know their tendencies, who is a good player (aside from the obvious), and you can get proper work in compared to practicing against your own team.

So, for the Seahawks to be able to go against Robert Saleh's team was a breath of fresh air for the franchise as they got in some good work, in some hot weather, as quarterback Sam Darnold called it.

But how did the Super Bowl-winning star see the joint practices going for his team?

"It was honestly really good for us to be able to come out here and have different weather, have a different defense out here," Darnold said. "I talked to some of the defensive guys, like for them to see a little bit of a different offense. So, it's just really good to go up against a different team."

Going up against the Titans in practice is one thing, and now the Seahawks will gear up for their preseason game against Saleh's team on Sunday.

Exactly who we will see and who we don't isn't known yet.

I'd imagine a mix of Drew Lock and Jalen Milroe at quarterback, just as we saw against the Dallas Cowboys, plus the running back room will be an interesting watch as George Holani got a lot of burn at Lumen Field.

With Jake Bobo's knee injury, the Seahawks will most likely want to get a good look at their receiver room.

Emmanuel Henderson, Irv Charles, Cody White, Ricky White III, and Montorie Foster Jr., who caught a touchdown against Dallas, will likely see a lot of snaps against the Titans.

We are edging closer to the Seahawks' season opener against the New England Patriots, so the preseason games and joint practices are as close to the real thing as players can get, which makes playing well in them important.

Darnold liked the work his team got through in the joint practice. Let's see if it translates onto the field.
