Over the next handful of days, we are going to find out if restricted free agent receiver Jake Bobo has a place in the Seattle Seahawks offense under Brian Fleury.
The Seahawks offered a tendered, first-right-of-refusal contract just before free agency, which would pay Bobo roughly $3.52 million in 2026.
Well, now, the Seahawks might have their resolve tested, as the Jacksonville Jaguars have now entered the chat.
The Jaguars have put in an offer sheet for Bobo, which, according to Albert Breer, is a two-year, $5.5 million offer.
That feels like more than Seattle's offer.
Plus, according to Breer, $4.5 million of that deal Jacksonville offered is guaranteed, with $1.5 million in incentives.
So, the Seahawks now have a decision to make.
They can either match Jacksonville's offer and keep Bobo, or they can let him walk to the Jaguars.
We are about to see exactly how much the Seahawks value Bobo as a player on both offense and special teams.
Having been a bit-part player over his three years, Bobo's numbers have declined since his rookie season.
He's gone from 196 receiving yards to 107 and then to just 20 last season, while having a combined 3 TDs in the regular season. In Seattle's march to the Super Bowl, Bobo posted 33 yards and a touchdown from two receptions.
The feeling from Seattle fans online is that the Jaguars' offer is something the franchise shouldn't match for Bobo.
Yes, he's a fan favorite, but that is a fair chunk of change to pay a player who was on the field for just 117 offensive snaps (17 percent) and 134 special teams snaps (45 percent) in 2025.
Of course, there is a real chance that Fleury sees a clear need for Bobo and his talents and bangs the table for the Seahawks to sign him.
But it does feel a little rich, considering Jake has never been anything more than a rotational play on both offense and special teams.
The Jaguars are testing Seattle's resolve when it comes to one of their most loved players on the roster.
We're about to see how much the Seahawks want to keep him around.
