The star rookie, as the Seattle Seahawks coaches have hoped, appears set to take part in Super Bowl LX on Sunday.

Despite suffering a sprained ankle in practice this week in Santa Clara, Nick Emmanwori got a positive affirmation from Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald, saying that the he "fully expects" the rookie cornerback to play in Super Bowl LX against the New England Patriots.

Friday's injury report - the last one of the 2025 season - reflects that belief.

Emmanwori was listed as a full participant in Friday's lead up to the Sunday night spectacle. The Seahawks team website says Emmanwori has no game designation, meaning he is "good to go".

"He just rolled his ankle yesterday, and he's got a low ankle sprain," Macdonald said on Thursday. "He's gonna do the walkthrough today. We're not sure how extensive, if it all, he's gonna practice, but he's confident. Got a great plan, fully expect him to play. ...

Where is he ahead of the big game?

"Right where we want to be. But he's doing great and moving around. Just got to make sure we handle it and handle it the right way. We're probably gonna be overcareful and overcautious at this point to make sure we're rolling going into the weekend."

Emmanwori was Seattle's second-round draft pick out of South Carolina. He started in 11 of his 14 games played this season and most notably starred in the NFC Championship win over the Los Angeles Rams, defending three passes against newly-crowned MVP Matthew Stafford.

Thoughout the uncertainty that a mid-week injurry presents, Emmanwori has continued trusting the process and training staff, knowing that there is just one game remaining to be healthy for.

"I expect to play on Sunday," Emmanwori said the day after the injury. "Feel good. Training staff's got a good plan for me. Everything good. Just making sure I'm just rehabbing good.

"Once I'm out there, my adrenaline will be pumping," he said. "It's the last game of the season, so I'll be good to go."

Emmanwori dealt with an injury to the same ankle earlier in his rookie season, but it was never ruled severe.

The rest of the Seahawks' injury report sees one player with a game designation, fullback Robbie Ouzts (neck), who is listed as questionable. He was a limited participant along with offensive tackle Josh Jones (ankle/knee).

Along with Emmanwori's good news participation is the full practice for quarterback Sam Darnold, who has been hampered slightly by an oblique injury. Up until this week, Darnold had been a limited practice participant for most of the postseason run to Super Bowl LX.

Three Patriots are listed as questionable for the game: defensive lineman Joshua Farmer (hamstring), and linebackers Harold Landry (knee) and Robert Spillane (ankle).
