How many future Hall of Famers are on the Pittsburgh Steelers?
ESPN senior NFL writer Bill Barnwell went through each of the league's 32 teams and attempted to identify the players who are either on track or have a realistic chance of making the Hall of Fame one day.
For the Pittsburgh Steelers, Barnwell said Aaron Rodgers and T.J. Watt are locks, Cameron Heyward and Jaylen Ramsey are on the cusp and Troy Fautanu, Zach Frazier, D.K. Metcalf and Joey Porter Jr. have work to do.
Rodgers has been in the NFL since 2005. He has played for the Green Bay Packers, New York Jets and Steelers and has 527 career passing touchdowns and 66,274 career passing yards in the regular season.
Rodgers has won four MVPs. He's one of the greatest QBs of all time.
Rodgers put up 3,322 passing yards, 24 passing touchdowns and seven interceptions last season. The future Hall of Famer completed 65.7% of his passes.
The Steelers won the AFC North last season but lost to the Houston Texans at home in the wild-card round of the 2026 playoffs. Mike McCarthy was hired after Mike Tomlin stepped down from his post.
The Steelers signed Watt to a three-year, $123 million contract in 2025, with $108 million guaranteed. Watt turns 32 in October and has guaranteed salaries of $32 million in both 2026 and 2027.
Watt appeared in 14 games for the Steelers last season. He finished with seven sacks, 23 solo tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 19 QB hits.
Watt has spent his entire NFL career in Pittsburgh. He enters next season with 115 sacks, 354 solo tackles, 136 tackles for loss and 244 QB hits. He's made eight Pro Bowls and four All-Pros and won the 2021 Defensive Player of the Year Award.
However, the Steelers are 0-5 in the playoffs in the Watt era. So even though Watt has put up incredible numbers, he hasn't helped Pittsburgh win a postseason game.
Rodgers hasn't won a playoff game since the 2020 season, while the Steelers haven't won a postseason game since the 2016 season. It will be intriguing to see how Rodgers and Co. perform in 2026.
