Aaron Rodgers makes a habit of quizzing his pass catchers ahead of games so everyone is on the same page.

According to ESPN, Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers quizzes his pass catchers before games.

Rodgers wants to make sure everyone is one the same page.

"It's pretty eye-opening to see who knows the plan, see who knows who we're playing and who their personnel is," Rodgers said. "I just think it's important to keep those guys on their toes and keep those guys studying and making sure they're watching film and knowing what's in the plan. There's always going to be those quizzes, and hopefully, they get a little bit better."

Rodgers has found his rhythm after getting off to a slow start this season. In Week 5, the former Green Bay Packers superstar became the first quarterback in NFL history to have three consecutive games with three passing touchdowns within a season at age 41 or older. He's also the second Steelers quarterback to hit the mark, joining Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw's streak in 1982.

Since turning 40, Rodgers has thrown three touchdown passes in eight games, passing Brett Favre for third most in NFL history. Rodgers now trails only Tom Brady (36) and Drew Brees (11) in such games.

Rodgers threw three touchdown passes in the 34-22 win against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5, marking his third consecutive week with three TD throws -- his longest streak since his 2021 MVP season when he had three straight from Weeks 14 to 16 with the Packers.

"It's a method of accountability, but also it's an opportunity to talk football and specifics of football," Steelers coach Mike McCarthy said. "And it's an opportunity to engage with him even further."

The touchdowns against the Colts were milestone-worthy. Rodgers' first of the day -- an 80-yard catch-and-run by RB Jaylen Warren -- was the quarterback's ninth career touchdown pass of at least 80 yards, tying him with Ben Roethlisberger for most in NFL history. Rodgers also moved past Peyton Manning for the third-most career touchdown passes, including the postseason. He now has 582.

Rodgers also recorded his 169th career game with multiple passing touchdowns, trailing only Brady (204) and Brees (173).

A future Hall of Famer, Rodgers has 1,234 passing yards, 10 passing touchdowns and four interceptions this season. He's completing 59.8% of his passes.

Rodgers will retire from the NFL after this season. He has been a pro since 2005. The four-time MVP has played for the Packers, New York Jets and Steelers.

Rodgers enters Week 6 with 67,508 career passing yards and 537 career passing touchdowns. Pittsburgh faces the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The bad news is that the Steelers are without wideouts Michael Pittman Jr. and Roman Wilson. Pittman Jr. is on injured reserve because of a foot injury and Wilson will miss multiple weeks because of a finger injury.

Can Rodgers win a Super Bowl in his final NFL season like Manning did with the Denver Broncos? Only time will tell.

"I think Aaron, rightfully so, has graduated from quizzes," McCarthy said. "He's had a couple decades of them. ... He's in good shape."
