CJ Stroud is betting on himself

Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud has been looking for a contract extension this offseason, and despite positive negotiations, Stroud has decided to hold out for the time being. 

Stroud is betting on himself, essentially saying that if he has a good season he should be able to command more money. 

The decision by Stroud is admirable, but will he play at a level that would warrant that type of money? 

Houston Texans fans should hope so, because if he does that would likely result in an excellent season for the team.
