Reports have surfaced stating that the Indianapolis Colts have begun contract negotiations with quarterback Daniel Jones.
Although Jones didn't finish the 2025 season due to a ruptured Achilles tendon, he still made enough of an impact with the Colts to warrant a new contract opportunity.
Conversely, there's still no official word of open dialogue between the Houston Texans and their quarterback in C.J. Stroud. Even though many agree that Stroud is better as an option the Jones, he hasn't been formally approached about a new deal (at least not publicly). That should be seen as a bit of a concerning comparison of immediate realities.
