The wide receiver market has just been reset again, this time courtesy of the Seattle Seahawks rewarding their breakout star with a record setting contract.
Being broken by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Super Bowl champion receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba and the Seahawks agreed on a massive four-year, $168.6 million contract ($120 million guaranteed), making him the highest paid receiver in NFL history.
Averaging 42.15 million per year, Smith-Njigba clears former leader Ja'Marr Chase by about $2 million per season.
On a Houston Texans note, this deal helps to confirm Nico Collins as one of the best value deals in the NFL, seeing as though he now ranks 16th overall at the position at $24.25 million per year.
