Although not officially confirmed, the Houston Texans may be facing the Washington Commanders. This was the sentiment of Houston Chronicle writer Michael Shapiro, when he stated, "

An official NFL UK & Ireland account on X published a video on Wednesday titled "Can you guess the 2026 NFL London Games team?" In the video, the Commanders were officially announced as one participant after three paint injections into a bowl of water revealed Washington's red color (Washington's logo was then also presented on-screen). The other team was still kept a mystery, though red, white and blue paint was shot into the bowl."

Later, Shapiro explained that the Texans were one of only two teams on Washington's 2026 schedule with that color scheme. The other team would be the New York Giants. Seeing as though it's likely that Washington and New York would play their divisional games in their respective stadiums, it's a safe bet to say that Houston is the pick.
